Life according to Mr. Rogers

"Often when you think you're at the end of something, you're actually at the beginning of something else."

Bible Study

God used simple people to proclaim his simple message: Jesus Christ is our miraculous tunnel of escape from the curse of death issued when Adam & Eve fell. Any other route will leave us empty & forlorn. This may seem foolishly simpleminded to some, but it is the simple truth of the gospel; easy enough for a child to understand, yet profound enough for an intellectual to dwell on for eternity.

Season of Change

Jody had his last final yesterday which means he is only 1 semester away from graduating. This also means that we are 1 semester away from ending this season of our lives and embarking on a brand new season {in a currently unknown location}. I keep trying to hold tight to these last days in 2010 knowing that 2011 is full of so many unknowns and big life changing moments. Thankfully there is a plan in the works! The next moment is as much beyond our grasp, and as much in God's care, as that a hundred years away. Care for the minute is as foolish as care for a day in the next thousand years. In neither can we do anything, in both God is doing everything. - C. S. Lewis

How God Works Things Out

Jody received a birthday card from my sweet Grandma today {she was fashionable late.....but it was sweet nonetheless} and I laughed because it could not have been more appropriate.

As we trust Christ
Love him and obey,
Our God supplies
Our needs each day.

As we trust Christ -
Love his pure word,
Our needs are met -
Our prayers are heard.

As we trust Christ -
Trust and not doubt,
God answers prayer
And works things out

-Perry Tanksley

In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you, protect you, bless you and grant you victory. Proverbs 3:6
