This post will be exciting to approximately 5 people......all of which lived in the house pictured above. Curious? Well this is the house Jody lived in until he was 10 {then he moved to Denver....where John Elway lives}. Longview happens to be almost half way between Eugene and Seattle so we made a pit stop on the way home so Jody could take a walk down memory lane. We went by 2 houses he lived in, the church his family use to walk to and his elementary school....I was amazed that he remembered exactly where everything was located. We concluded our visit at the local Arby's.......the end.
With Love,
OK, I'm one of the five. :) Wow, the house on 25th & the church we were baptized in! Did you go by the house on 22nd also? And whaddya know, the sidewalks are all wet. Thanks for sharing the pics~
ReplyDeleteWe did go by the house on 22nd but Jody couldn't remember exactly which house it was. There were 2 that looked the same and he said both had been painted. It was a VERY rainy weekend in the pacific northwest.....big surprise!

ReplyDeleteI'm so envious of ya'lls steel trap brains!!
ReplyDeleteI just remember that the house on 22nd looked like a gingerbread house... unfortunately, there were two houses within about 5 houses that looked like gingerbread houses with super steep roofs. I knew it was one of them, but I wasn't sure which one. It's kind of hard to tell from the pic, but the house has been extremely well taken care of. Paint looks sharp, nice fixtures, and the front yard has been nicely landscaped. I was pleasantly surprised since you never know if subsequent owners are going to let a house go to pot. Surprisingly, the Krueger's house looked pretty dumpy. I told Whitney that I would bet the Kruegers still live there too.
ReplyDeleteJody
Thanks for the walk down memory lane!!
