Well here we are, the end of January and a couple weeks from my last post. I wish I had a lot of really fun and interesting things to share, but the reality is that we have settled into a pretty routine day that, I'm 100% positive, will interest no one. As you can see above, I'm still taking lots of close-up pics of my offspring and he continues to wow me with his "I refuse to look at the camera" cold shoulder. My guess is that ya'll are really looking forward to me having this little girl so I'll have a new subject to photograph, but my guess is he'll still be the star of the show for quite some time........at least until sister does more then just lay around. Anywho, from left to right and top to bottom, here's what we've been doing.......
*Seattle had 12 days of dry weather, which is unheard of here in the winter, and we managed to get in a trip to the park. The grey & rain has since returned, so we are patiently waiting until we can go back.....is it July yet??
*I was feeling a little bit of cabin fever last week so H & I took a trip to the Target. We spent close to 30 minutes in the $1 section and I talked myself out of buying an echo microphone for everyone in my family.
*Not sure if ya'll know this, but my husband is handy and quite the problem solver. The light switch in Harrison's room was not connected to his ceiling fan so he got up in the attic, did some rewiring and voila......fixed. Wife = impressed!
*This pic was taken before H's nap....he's currently a huge fan of his tongue and I'm a huge fan of his 2 hr nap.
* Buddy boy received his 4th haircut since turning 1 and man was it a doozie. He cried and screamed like he was staring in a horror film but has since made a full recovery.
*Harrison thought having the ladder out was the best thing that's every happened in his 17 months on the earth. I only had to tell him 5000millionbillion times that the ladder was not a toy. He had to go to time out when I turned my back for 5 seconds and he'd climbed to the top.
*Not sure why I took this photo.....maybe I just wanted to document that Harrison was actually sitting in his high chair. He is not a fan.
*Harrison looks so calm in this picture but, as I shared on instagram, this photo was taken at 7 in the am and he had just been released from time out. It was one of THOSE mornings.
*This is my official "stay at home mama" uniform and my {almost} 24 week belly
Couple more things.....
*I made THIS crockpot cheese tortellini for dinner tonight and it is so yummy {and easy}.
*We've decided to name our baby girl Grace Stanley Duvall.....so looking forward to her arrival.
*This verse has given me such comfort in the last few weeks
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
