He's Alive.....

A friend recently asked me how Jody was doing studying for the bar.
I know I haven't mentioned much about "the law" since graduation, but bar prep has been our house guest for the past 2 months and is wearing out its welcome.
Luckily, Jody takes the big test next week and then we will have a few days, just the 2 of us, before my c-section.
Jody has put in an INSANE amount of hours studying and I know he's going to do great.
While Jody is taking the test, I will be trying to not have a baby.
Keep us both in your prayers!

and Jody has officially received his Juris Doctorate.
There aren't words to describe how proud I am of his accomplishment.

A couple things...

1. Thank you to everyone who e-mailed or commented on my cloth diaper post. For the most part, the feedback was very helpful and it's really nice to know that disposable diapers aren't going to break our budget. With that said, we're still going to give cloth a test drive and see how it goes. Our current plan is to stick to disposables for the first few months and slowly transition into cloth diapers. Lucky for you guys, I'm sure I will blog all about the experience. Ya'll can thank me later.
2. Yesterday was the best Valentine's EVER! Jody made a delicious dinner, we went out for ice cream and then watched a movie in bed ♥
3. I finally found some new workout pants that fit my expanding belly......no more sausage.
4. We are scheduled for an ultra sound on Thursday. 15 weeks tomorrow!
5. 95 days until Jody graduates from law school

The hubs wanted to personalize his office a bit so we did a few framing projects this weekend. When we went to hang them up I, of course, made him pose for a photo......one day he will thank me for all these memories!

The Summer Has Begun

This morning marked the Duvalls first official day of Summer!! Hip Hip Hooray!

With lunch packed, tie on and brief case in hand I sent Jody out the door and to his first day as a realish attorney {as real as you can get with a year left of school}. I was beyond proud! By far the best part of sending Jody off to work was knowing that when he got off at 5 that I don't have to share him with criminal law, trial practice and that always pesky constitutional law 2.

Summer also marks the reemergence of the law student social life. The hubs goes to school with some really amazing people that, unfortunately, I don't see much of when school is in session. Now that school is out a group law school ladies has started up a potluck/craft night that they have so graciously included me in. Last night was our first get together and we made these cute flower pins following the directions from the blog GROSGRAIN.I used this mauve linen fabric and the 2 smaller flower patternsHere's Ashley cutting out her petals.....I told her not to look at the camera because I wanted an action shot!

I thought is was pretty cute so I wore it to work this morning. Next craft night I plan on taking a lot more photos of everyones finished products......they were all so adorable! Thank you Lauren for having us in your home! {You are kinda the best!}
