Tub Time

Tuesday's are official "Longest Bath Ever" kind of days. We have community group on Tuesday nights and I figured out early that I can shower with H and then let him stay in the tub while I get ready. Today I squeezed as much out of that bath as possible and at the end I had......

• taken the polish off my toes
• clipped my nails
• bleached my lip
• dried my hair
• put on my makeup
• straightened my hair 

all while weaving in a couple games of sinking the boats and counting foam letters. The cherry on top was when H peed in the potty when he got out {don't get too excited......he also peed on the floor 1min. later}.

We Found Santa At Cabelas

Forget the long line at Nordstrom or the faux beard at Macy's, this year we went between the fishing poles and under the stuffed bear to find Santa. Most photos I've seen, of toddlers visiting Santa, look like the child is being physically tortured by the presence of jolly ol' Saint Nick, so I wasn't sure what H's reaction would be. I braced myself for tears, but he gave this sweet man the furrowed brow and then jumped in his lap. It was definitely not a fancy operation they were running at Cabelas, I'm talking digital camera and a printer from home, but it was free.....good enough for the mantel! 

 With the picture out of the way, it was time make a loop around the store. We got lost in a sea of camo, looked at all the tacky home decor, walked through the aquarium and tried on lots of hats......this was my personal favorite.

 We left the store with a couple new fleeces and a bag of chocolate covered pretzels.

Guess who thoroughly enjoyed those pretzels??

Howdy folks!
Harrison has dropped down to 2 naps a day, which means more playtime & more of my undivided attention.
It couldn't have come at a more perfect time, since I've felt convicted lately about being more intentional with my baby time {i.e. less social media, e-mails, television, etc}.
The picture above was taken at one of our neighborhood parks during our morning walk-about.
Kiddo loves to crawl all over the play equipment, go down the slide head first and eat the bark dust {much to his mother's dismay}.

Yesterday I got the nicest suprise at work......A BAG OF BOILED PEANUTS!!!!The same gentleman who sent me the Larry Munson Book was also kind enough to think of me when his family made a batch. I've never met this man before but he knows that out in Oregon is a southern transplant that needs little reminders of home♥

PRE-PLANNING

With such a large portion of friends/ family currently preggers I can't help but look forward to the day Jody and I finally have a bambino. When the day finally arrives this is the crib I have my eye on because it is made without paper press board and has a non-toxic finish. Yes those things are important to me. It also converts to a toddler bed which is very appealing. This crib only has one PROBLEM.....I don't care that my mom loves the place.

A couple years ago, at one of my girl friends weddings, I noticed a bunch of the gals wearing these adorable sandals. I was all set to buy a pair of my own until I realized they were $100+ and immediately reconsidered the purchase.

Fast forward to my lunch break this afternoon....

I had to run to Target for a couple items and decided to puruse the shoe section.

It was there in that very shoe section, between the knock off converse and faux uggs, that I saw these
