A few favorites from GA

There's not a whole lot to say about our visit down south except......it was wonderful!
Given the opportunity, Harrison would spend all day outside and he loved being able to roam free at my brother's house. He was also in heaven, with all his farm equipment, and enjoyed riding on the big tractor. We spent the majority of our time jut letting the kiddos enjoy each others company and catching up on life. The pace, and schedule, was easy but filled with people I hold very dear to my heart. It always go by too fast and leaves me counting down to our next visit. Thanks to my brother and sister-in -law for hosting us and for my mom for being such a good roommate.

Arizona Duvalls

We braved yet another plane ride this past weekend to visit Jody's youngest bro. & family. With all this snow on the ground, here in Seattle, it's hard to believe that 2 days ago we were in warm Arizona. The weather was mild, the babies were adorable and it was just really nice to spend some quality time with my brother & sister-in-law. Below are a couple pics from our vaca., but if you crave more baby photo preciousness check out Becca's blog.

We're Back!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Jody and I are back from an amazing Christmas vacation in Colorado. Our flights to and from CO were, by far, the easiest trips we've ever taken--especially considering we have the worst luck flying during the holidays. Despite not having a white Christmas, we got a good couple of inches the day before we left......I miss the snow. We spent a lot of time hanging with the family, loving on my sweet niece, and eating......we did A LOT of eating. Even though we were there for a week, it never seems like we have enough time to see everyone. But, we were lucky enough to catch up with a few friends.

We got home around 6pm last night and snuggled into our couches to celebrate the new year. Jody and I cheated by celebrating the New Year's Day countdown on east coast time, which allowed us to be in bed by 11 and still feel like we participated in ringing in 2011. January 1st will be spent in our lounging clothes, watching football, and talking about all the things we want to get done........tomorrow. Wishing you all the best in the coming year!!

Spring Break should be a National Holiday

Spring Breakdown 2010 {I'm so clever}

1. Printed out boarding passes the night before and carried on our luggage
I don't know why we've never done this before but it made the airpot experience so much more enjoyable. This method also guarantees that the luggage makes it to our destination in one piece......since this seems to be an issue.
2. The weather was unpredictable which is predictable during Spring in Colorado
When we got off the plane it was 60+ degrees and when we woke up on Friday it looked like this......
but don't worry it was back to 60+ on Saturday.
3. My sister in law came up from Arizona and we threw her a baby shower
{Jessie, Becca & Baby Girl Duvall, your truly}
4. We ate some really amazing sausage.....and got to see our friends Kerri & Matt
Kerri and Matt are getting married in September and her dad is making homemade sausage.
We got to try it out and decided at that moment to RSVP!!!
5. I finally got to meet Kyler
I'm so glad I got to catch up with my friend Keelee and her husband Mike.
Thanks for the sweet text.
6. We had dinner with our friends Tyler and Jessica
Tyler and Jody made plans to attend the CU vs CSU game in September. I think this might have been the highlight of Jody's spring break
7. I got to see my little brother
It was only for a couple hours but I was so happy to see him.
8. Last but definitely not least......I got to hang with the Duvall/Shier crew
I love you guys!!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped feed my food baby......he is very full and needs to hit the gym tomorrow!!!

Spring Break 2010

Jody and I don't typically make last minute travel plans but we surprised ourselves last week and bought tickets to Colorado for Spring Break. I've really been missing the Colorado crew lately so I'm super excited that we FINALLY got to use our free plane ticket.

I called my mama to tell her that we were making the trip & she informed me that my youngest brother would also be in Colorado at the same time. This news make me squeal and then I almost cried {I kind of adore that kid}. If getting to see my brother was not enough, I found out today that my sister-in-law moved her visit home up a week. Ugg...I can hardly stand it!!!! Becca's mama is throwing her a baby shower while she is in town so I will have another excuse to by gifts for my niece.

We're really hoping that nothing happens to disrupt this vacation......like a Colorado early spring blizzard!!!

Memory.....Like the corner of my mind

This post will be exciting to approximately 5 people......all of which lived in the house pictured above. Curious? Well this is the house Jody lived in until he was 10 {then he moved to Denver....where John Elway lives}. Longview happens to be almost half way between Eugene and Seattle so we made a pit stop on the way home so Jody could take a walk down memory lane. We went by 2 houses he lived in, the church his family use to walk to and his elementary school....I was amazed that he remembered exactly where everything was located. We concluded our visit at the local Arby's.......the end.
