Oh Pioneer Woman.....

Today I met Ree!!!!

After much deliberation my co-worker, Lyric, and I decided that we should leave work an hour earlier than originally planned. I was checking Ree's facebook page and kept seeing comments from her Saturday night signing like "Thanks for staying until 10:30 to sign our book".......no ma'am!!! I was not waiting that long. Luckily leaving early was a wise decision since there were alreay 60 people in line. Lyric and I ended up getting really good seats for her pre signing Q & A and we only had to wait about 45 mins to get our books signed.

Look how close we were!!! I wish I had a picture of the whole crowd because the final number was around 400. Powell's Books had no clue what they were getting themselves into.
I took this picture right before my nerves took over and I started to sweat profusely. I mean seriously.......I was so excited but oh so nervous.

She was so sweet and funny........even when I told her my arm pits were sweating. Yes.....I told her my armpits were sweating. I don't know what came over me but I could not stop the honesty from flowing from my mouth. My words exactly "I'm so nervous my arm pits are sweating." What a dork!

The best part though is when she told me she had to run to the restroom before the signing and towel off. Apparently Ree also was a little nervous and sweaty. She said we ladies could discuss such things.....and she said she liked my dress. I didn't feel like such a dork after that.

I'm on Pioneer Woman cloud 9!!! So worth the wait and the humiliation :)
