Urban Farmers

Jody has been itching to start a garden but we figured our landlord might not appreciate us using a portion of his manicured lawn for our urban farm. We decided our solution would be a potted garden and, after a recommendation from friends, we decided whisky barrels were just what we needed. For around $25 each we picked up a couple half barrels, fruit and veggie starters and now we have our first pseudo garden. We are so proud!
Baby Strawberry plants......
Red Peppers and Jalapenos {they will be living in the window seal for a few more weeks}......
and 2 types of tomatoes. Jody is pumped!!
I also picked up a variety of Sedums {Succulents} and made a little potted arrangement.
For those of you who are looking for a VERY hearty, hard to kill, need little water type of plant......this is it!!
With Love,
