The move has been made.....

now we are living in the middle of organized chaos. We managed to dig our way out to attend a little 4th of July bbq at a neighbors place. Harrison was pleased to be out of the house and his pleasant disposition allowed him a 9:30 bedtime.

Hope to have some house pics shortly. Until then, I leave you with this.......I HATE Comcast!!!
The End.

A list of things

Here's some ramblin' for your Saturday evening.......

  1. I just about threw my computer out the window yesterday dealing with my blog template. It took me hours to get the darn thing into the old format and I was about to spit fire. I'm still not happy with it, but my patience won't let me work on it any longer. It is what it is......for now.
  2. Jody & I got new phones and we LOVE them! Though we would have previously considered ourselves apple loyalist, we purchased the Samsung Galaxy S111 and it is so much better than our iphones.
  3. I ran 10.5 miles today, which is my longest distance thus far. All I could think about that last mile was not running anymore......like ever.
  4. Our house is currently in shambles and there are boxes to the ceiling. We sign the papers/get keys on Monday, movers come Tuesday and Wednesday we celebrate with fireworks.
  5. Harrison turns the rip ol' age of 11 months this week. I can't wrap my head around the fact, in only 4 short weeks, he will be 1 whole year old. {I will now cry into my diet coke}
  6. In other Harrison news, he went to the pool for the first time this week and found it most enjoyable. The kid is too brave for his own good and will need swim lessons in the very near future.
  7. My pinterest is getting bombed this week with decorating ideas, due to the fact I'm itching to get  working on our house. I'm planning on starting a second blog to document all the improvements. I'm going to call it "The Craftsman".......clever huh?
  8. If you are a faithful Today Show watcher, you know that Ann Curry was let go this week after 15 years. It was a tearfest......in the studio and in my living room.
  9. I made the best chicken salad for my galfriend who just had a baby. Here's the link to the recipe. You won't be disappointed.
  10. So excited about the London Olympics!

Back from a little vaca.....

Well hello....
We took a short trip down to Oregon to attend the wedding of Jody's cousin.
The weather was perfect and the bride, oh the bride, she was a beauty......the groom was also pretty snazzy.
After the "I do's", the entire Duvall/Shier crew headed back up to Seattle for the week.
It was just so nice having everyone under one roof and being able to love on those babies whenever I wanted. {1 niece & 3 nephews.......I had enough sugar for them all}.
Harrison was on his best behavior and did some serious food consumption......kid can put down some food!

Now we have 2 short weeks until we move, so we are in full on packing mode.
In addition to the packing, I'm also refinishing an armoire that is quite the project.
It's going to be beautiful when it's done, but sheesh......talk about bad timing.
Luckily, we won't have to do this again for a VERY long time.

Kind of got a lot going on....

Please forgive me {Sam :)} for neglecting my little blog lately, but I've got my hands full around here......namely, Mr. Harrison and packing, packing, packing.  I've got a ton to write about, but it will have to wait until we make it to Seattle and get settled.  In the meantime, I leave you with this adorable photo from Harrison's newborn shoot.
This pic was the runner up for our birth announcements.......which will be ordered this weekend and hopefully sent out before he turns 1.  Once again, this amazing photo was taken by my friend Willow at WillowBee Photography {she was the talented lady behind THESE photos}

The Countdown

On Monday I was talking to my work crew about moving and realized that I have a short 7 weeks before I start my maternity leave.  Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled and feel blessed to be able to stay home with Harrison, but I'm going to truly miss my work family.  One of the people I'll miss the most is my sweet Lyric.  She is by far one of the kindest people I've ever met and is always filling her schedule helping others.  I know she peeks at my blog and I just want her to know that I think she's the cats pajamas......I ❤ you Mrs. Dasso and will miss you to pieces!!!!
